The Process
From first conversation to final delivery — here's exactly what to expect when you build with Container Crafts.
It starts with a conversation. Tell us about your vision — the type of build, your timeline, budget, and site requirements. We listen, ask the right questions, and make sure we fully understand your project before anything else.
Once we understand your needs, we put together a detailed proposal. This includes a layout design, full material spec, and a transparent itemized quote — no hidden fees, no surprises.
Your container is sourced and the build begins at our fabrication facility. We handle everything in-house — structural modifications, insulation, electrical, plumbing, interior finishing, and exterior coating.
When your build is complete and passes our quality inspection, we coordinate delivery directly to your site. Our team ensures it's placed, leveled, and connected — ready to use from day one.
We walk you through every detail of your finished build, hand over all documentation, and remain available for any questions after delivery. Our relationship doesn't end at handover.
Common Questions
How long does a typical build take?
Most builds are completed within 6–12 weeks from deposit, depending on complexity. We'll give you a specific timeline in your proposal.
Do I need planning permission?
It depends on your location and intended use. We can advise based on your site, but ultimately this is the customer's responsibility to confirm with local authorities.
Can I visit during the build?
Absolutely. We welcome site visits by appointment so you can see your build progress firsthand.
What container sizes do you work with?
We work with 10ft, 20ft, and 40ft standard containers, as well as high-cube variants. We can also combine multiple units for larger builds.
Do you deliver anywhere?
We deliver throughout the Midwest and beyond. Get in touch with your location and we'll confirm availability and any delivery costs.
What's included in the price?
Every quote is itemized — container purchase/lease, fabrication labor, materials, finishes, and delivery. Nothing is hidden.
